Splits a subset of line items (in full or partial quantity) off the original order
into a new, separate order. The new order carries only the specified items and can
be transitioned through the fulfillment lifecycle independently of the remainder.

Typical use case: a partial return where some items are sent back while others are
kept, or fulfilling items from different warehouses on separate timelines.

`POST /orders/{id}/split`

**Request body** (`application/json`, required)

- `items` (object[], required) — Line items to move into the new order
